Winemaker's Dinner

Madera’s newest winery is a hit. The Mariposa Wine Company, operating in Berenda, 7 miles north of Madera at Highway 99 and Ave 20 1/2. The winemaker, Michael Levin has an impressive background of making fine wines, and connections to excellent grapes to work with. He works magic with his combinations of grapes, and his pinot noirs are killer. The Vineyard catered the grand opening party for their new tasting room/offices. Our Winemaker’s dinner here on the 25th will recreate that. We will taste Michael’s sauvignon blanc blend, his French style chardonnay with just a little oak, a Rhone blend, a zinfandel and an outstanding pinot noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands. In my humble opinion some of the best pinots in California come from the Santa Lucia Highlands.  You can make reservations for this dinner now. It will be Thursday May 25th beginning at 6:00. Dinner and the wines cost $55 a person. Call now to make reservations as we are limited to 50 guests.
