Our Fall favorites, Pumpkin Ravioli and Mushroom Lasagna are now on our lunch and dinner menus. Come in and try them!

Charity Night

On Wednesday, Oct 7th , we held our first Charity Night with St Joachim’s School as the beneficiary. It was a great success. We donated 15% of the total bill, before taxes and tip, on any table that said they were connected to St Joachims School. Stephanie Houlding from St Joachim’s, promoted the event via e-mail and a flyer that went home with the children. St Joachim’s made almost $300 that night. Stephanie figured her costs to be about $5 and 1 hour of her time. The best part was everyone had a great time.

Gift Certificate Sale in November

Joel’s Pomegranate Martini

Pomegranate harvest is in full swing here in Madera. Celebrate with Joel’s Pomegranate Martini. Here is the recipe if you want to try it at home.

• 2 oz Fresh squeezed Loquaci Farms pomegranate juice
• 1.5 oz Grey Goose Vodka
• .5 oz Quady Dry Vya Vermouth
• Shake over ice and garnish with a lemon twist.

If you can’t fine the fresh squeezed juice, you’ll have to come in and have one here.

Congratulations

To our good friend Rodia Montegomery-Gentry. She was nominated as the Madera County Candidate for the California Middle School Teacher of the Year, for the central San Joaquin Valley. She teaches history and social science at Desmond Junior High in Madera. Here is a picture of Rodia on her wedding day, celebrated at the restaurant two years ago.
