Thanks for the response to our Giving Tree and our Adopt a Family collection. You brought in over 250 gifts. On Thursday Dec 14th the servers donated a portion of the tips toward the purchase of food and gifts for a family. This year, with your support they raised $550.
New Year’s Eve Reservations
Now is a good time to make reservations for New Year’s Eve dinner. We will serve dinner from 4:30 till 10 on the 31st. Please join us.
Ron Radoicich
My good friend Ron Radoicich died suddenly and unexpectedly on December 8th. It is a great loss to his family and many friends. It is also a great loss to the food, wine and agriculture communities in the San Joaquin Valley. Ron was a farmer, nurseryman and connoisseur of food and wine. He had the personality and palate that made him a natural connector between farmers, winemakers and chefs. Ron was a driving force of the Fresno State Wine Tasting. He was the creator and chairman of the very successful Slow Food Fig Fest and Fig Feast. His passion and knowledge will be missed by his friends and everyone who enjoys good food and wine.
Vineyard Restaurant Vineyards
Our first wine is released. Vineyard Restaurant Vineyards 2004 Merlot is available now. This wine was made by Madera High and Fresno State Viticulture graduate Antonio
Pasos from grapes he grows here in Madera County. I was introduced to Antonio by Ron Radoicich several years ago at one of our monthly wine tasting. Antonio has made a rich, deep Merlot with nice chocolate and smoky flavors. I am proud to put our name on it.
Gift Cards and Gift Certificates
For the perfect gift, buy a Vineyard Restaurant Gift Card or Gift Certificate. They are available for any amount. If you are out of the area we will be happy to sell a certificate or card over the phone and mail it to you or the recipient of the gift.
Holiday Hours
We will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. New Year’s Eve we will open for dinner @ 4:30 and seat as long as our guests want to eat. On New Year’s Eve we will take reservations for only 75% of the tables. We will save room for walk-in dinners that night. I suggest you make your reservations early, but if your plans change at the last minute please come by.
