Idle Hour Winemaker's Dinner

Join us to taste the great wines from Oakhurst. Winemaker Anna Marie dos Remedios has an outstanding collection of wines and a unique approach to winemaking. She uses all native yeasts, a practice that most winemakers avoid because it is less predictable than using purchased yeast. She has a low-touch philosophy of wine making that she calls “hands off winemaking”. Anna Marie believes in letting the natural qualities of the grape show in the finished product. We really like her wines and think you will also. We will be pairing 6 of her wines, including the best of class winning Tempranillo, with a selection of Chef Benjamin’s creative foods.

New Chef

Come in and taste the exciting new creations of Chef Benjamin. Local product Benjamin Brandt has returned to Madera and is doing some exciting cooking here at The Vineyard. He has kept the favorite dishes and local product philosophy from the past 33 years of the restaurant. He is introducing new dishes to that core menu. Here are some pictures of a couple of his dishes Pan Seared Duck Breast with Ficklin Port and Vanilla Sauce and Seafood Pasta Marina.

Chef Benjamin comes to The Vineyard Restaurant after his travels in the restaurant business. After graduating from MUHS, this native Maderan started working in the kitchen of The Peppermill Restaurant in Fresno.  The Peppermill  sent him to school to manage a kitchen and become a chef. Ben’s resume includes chain restaurants, corporate kitchen management, and French and Italian fine restaurants. He also worked in the executive dining room of Toyota headquarters in LA, where he learned to make the killer Spicy Fried Tempura Roll that we are serving as an appetizer.

St Joachim Holy Family Table Night

On Fat Tuesday March 8, 2011 will we be donating 15% of your dinner bill to Holy Family Table. You come in eat and drink whatever you desire. If you tell your server you are here because of Holy Family Table we will donate 15% of your total bill. That does not include tax or tip and is for meals or drinks ordered after 5 PM. Other than that there are no rules.

St Pat's Day

Come in Thursday, March 17th for Corned Beef and Cabbage. We will be serving Corned Beef and Cabbage for lunch and dinner.

AAA DIAMOND AWARD

Once again The Vineyard Restaurant was given the AAA Diamond award. This is the fourth year in a row we have been given the award.
