What’s New at the Vineyard
NEW WEBSITEIt has been a while since I last wrote and we’ve had a lot going on. The most exciting thing is our new website. Check it our www.vineyardrestaurant.com. My friends Fredo and Renee Martin of Workingarts Marketing, Inc. did a great job. Lots of information and pictures, and it’s designed to really shine on your smartphone. Look for all the old newsletters there and upcoming events under “News”. MENUSOur Fall menu is here. As always the star of our Fall menu is our Pumpkin Ravioli, but Chef Benjamin has also come up with some other exciting dishes. You can see them all online on our new website under “Menus” CHRISTMAS PARTIESWe are booking fast for the holiday season. Call Michele, at 559-674-0923, to reserve your space for your Chirstmas or Holiday party. BOOKS FOR SALEWe are selling the San Joaquin River Parkway book, “Take Me to the River”. Since then, we’ve had several local authors ask that we offer their books for sale, which we are now doing. All of the books are displayed in the lobby. Here’s a list of what we’re selling---
OKTOBERFESTSaturday October 15th we will have an Oktoberfest dinner here. My friend Marilynn Harrington loves this, and we haven’t done it in a couple of years. It starts @ 6:30 and cost is $30 a person. The menu includes German salad, sausage and kraut plate, with potatoes of course. And surprise!!!! A German chocolate cake for dessert. Also included are 2 German beers. POMEGRANATE FESTIVALWednesday, November 2 is the date for our Pomegranate Dinner. The Tourism Alliance Committee of the Madera Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first annual Madera Pomegranate Festival from Oct. 31 to Nov. 5th. Participating Madera businesses will do something with a Pomegranate theme that week; for example, I believe Madera Ford Mercury will be offering deals on red cars.

The Pomegranate Festival will be held on Saturday Nov 5th on the beautiful grounds of Appellation California on Hiway 99 at Ave 7. The Vineyard Restaurant & Bar will be offering Martinis made with pomegranate blossom-infused vodka that week, and we will be hosting a pomegranate dinner on Wednesday the 3rd. Most of the beneficial compounds in pomegranates are concentrated in the blossom. By macerating them in vodka for 3 months, these compounds are released into the vodka and in your martini. Finally, a healthy martini! Besides that, they taste good. Cost is $45 a person, which includes local wines paired with our dinner.
