OLIVES AND ALMONDS
 
3 cloves finely chopped garlic
1 lb roasted almonds
1 lb pitted brine cured olives, all black or mixed with green. Salt cured will fall apart in this dish
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and Pepper
Chile flakes (optional)
 
Heat olive oil, add garlic to soften, add almonds and sauté till golden then add olives and saute till heated. Season with salt and pepper and chile if desired. Serve as a snack with cocktails and beer.
